
Kirk Mann
What is your first music memory. Listening to my parents Buddy Holly records on a big walnut gramophone at the age of eight.
When did you first want to play an instrument and why. After seeing the Beatles on black & white T.V in 1964...never fully recovered...still in awe at their brilliance today.
When did you first play live. At age 14 with a local band, The Hammer in 1969. I still have the local press cutting.
What are your musical influences. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Byrds, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Steve Gadd.

Rob Spiers
What is your first music memory. Tommy Steele, Little white bull.
When did you first want to play an instrument and why. My sister bought me my first guitar when I was about 11. It's strange because I was never really interested in playing well known songs, I just wanted to try and write my own. I did learn with the Bert Weedon's book, Play in a day.
When did you first play live. I played a few local gigs when I was about 17. I joined up with Kirk when we were about 18 and we formed a band called Badge playing around Maidstone and Medway. I had a covers band called Learning Curve for around 16 years. I formed Fate the Juggler in the summer of 2010.
What are your musical influences. The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Paul Simon, REM.



Don Judges
What is your first music memory. Apart from playing triangle in the primary school band, I was listening for Chet Atkins to play "One mint Julep" on two way family favourites...it was always requested every week and went down well with Sunday lunch.
When did you first want to play an instrument and why. I first wanted to play guitar after watching Hank Marvin & The Shadows, "Apache & Wonderful Land", I was mesmerised.
When did you first play live. I first played live at the age of 14 in a band called "The Look", at a youth club. We were mobbed by the girls afterwards. Don't know what made me think every gig was going to be like that.
What are your musical influences. The Beatles (best band), Jeff Beck (the best guitarist for influence), I grew up with Clapton, Hendrix & Gary Moore. I wish I could sing and play like Joe Bonamassa!
Brad Jacobs
What is your first music memory. When my parents played their cassettes in the car. I fondly remember hearing Thriller and Bad by Michael Jackson.
When did you first want to play an instrument and why. As a kid I was always fond of my brothers Casio keyboard. It was at secondary school that I realised I had some skill with the keyboard and decided to self learn the instrument. What I love most about playing "keys" is the instrument is so versatile and you have a great selection of sounds to accommodate many genres.
When did you first play live. First time I played live was at school, but my first time after my educational years was either in London (around Kensington and Camden) or Platform 5 in Ashford, Kent.
What are your musical influences. 70's music onwards. Including Michael Jackson, Michael McDonald, Daft Punk, Bob Marley and Bruno Mars.
Mark Ellis
What is your first music memory. My mums 78rpm records.. Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Johnny Ray, Chuck Berry etc. Loved playing those rock and roll records.
When did you first want to play an instrument and why. A Ukulele Banjo, that my mother told me I wanted for my 4th birthday. Started guitar lessons when I was 8, from an early age just wanted to play music, why? I guess it's in the DNA.
When did you first play live. At 11 years old I played with some friends at school in the main hall to 3rd and 4th years, mostly Beatles songs. Our little band was called The Heartbeats.
What are your musical influences. The Beatles, Tam Paxton, Donovan, Bob Dylan, Roy Harper, Richard Thompson, Fairport Convention
